Amethyst
Amethyst is the stone most people picture first, and it is usually the one they buy first too. What sits on the shelf here changes constantly, because every piece is bought individually rather than by the box: raw specimens with the points still sharp, polished palm stones worn smooth, dream amethyst freeforms with their soft grey banding, spheres, and the occasional cave large enough to need both hands.
In crystal tradition amethyst has long been associated with calm and clear thinking, which is why it is so often the stone people keep on a bedside table or a desk rather than packed away. Whether or not that tradition means anything to you, it is a genuinely beautiful quartz, and the purple runs from pale lavender through to deep, almost inky violet depending on where it was pulled from.
Everything is weighed and measured before it goes up, so the size you see is the size that arrives. Prices start around $6 for a small polished freeform and run to $140 for a full cave. Each piece is photographed individually, because no two are alike and we would rather you saw the actual stone than a stock image of one like it.
