Citrine

A small, carefully chosen collection of citrine. Spheres from 60mm up to 90mm, towers set into custom wooden stands, a double point, a chip tree on a fluorite base, and a 10mm bead bracelet.

Citrine runs from pale champagne through to a warm honey gold. Much of the citrine sold worldwide is heat-treated amethyst, which produces a deeper orange-brown, so it is worth looking closely at the photographs to see which tone you are getting. Everything here is photographed in natural light rather than under a warm bulb, so what you see is what turns up.

In crystal tradition citrine is associated with brightness and good fortune, and it is one of the stones most often given as a gift for that reason. It is also simply a cheerful thing to have on a shelf in winter.
