Labradorite
Labradorite is bought for one reason: the flash. Turn a good piece under a light and a sheet of blue, green or gold moves across the surface, then vanishes when you turn it back. It is a structural effect rather than a colour, which is why photographs never quite do it justice and why every listing here is shot from the angle where the flash actually shows.
The collection runs to polished freeforms, discs, a 1.21kg skull carving, a raven skull, and bead bracelets in both 8mm and 10mm.
Flash varies enormously between pieces and even across a single stone, so it is worth reading the weights and looking closely at the photos rather than assuming they are interchangeable. A piece with a narrow band of intense blue is often more striking than one with broad, dull colour.
In crystal tradition labradorite is associated with intuition and is often paired with moonstone for that reason.
