Selenite
A small selenite collection: towers, slabs, a bracelet holder with stand, and 100g tumble bags.
Selenite is a form of gypsum, and it is soft enough to scratch with a fingernail, which is worth knowing before you buy. It is also water-soluble, so it should never be washed or left anywhere damp. Handled sensibly it lasts indefinitely, and the fibrous structure gives it a satin sheen that no other white stone quite matches.
Slabs and plates are traditionally used as a surface to rest other crystals on, which is why selenite is often the second or third thing a collector buys rather than the first. The bracelet holder here does the same job for jewellery.
In crystal tradition selenite is associated with clearing and stillness, and it is one of the stones most often kept in a room rather than carried. Everything is weighed and photographed individually. Hand-picked in Adelaide and posted Australia-wide. Selenite is soft and fragile in transit, so these are packed with extra padding.
